Scholarship Events
Area high school golfers ages 14 - 18 can compete in EIJGA Scholarship Tournaments to earn money towards college expenses. Scholarships are awarded based on performance in the events.

Any amateur male or female golfer who falls within the age range specified by the individual event guidelines. If a player has played in a professional event or earned more than $1000 from playing in a tournament they are ineligible.

Scholarships are awarded based on how a players finished within their division. The total number of scholarships will be determined by the number of players within a division. The goal is to payout 33% of the players within a division.

The dollar amount of the scholarships will be dependent on the number of players and our fundraising efforts. The max amount a player can earn is $1000 per event as golf’s amateur rules are governed by the USGA.

Yes. As long as the player is within the age range of the event outlined by the event guidelines they are eligible to compete and earn scholarships from multiple events.

The guidelines are outlined on the back of each scholarship certificate.
Once someone who has earned a scholarship has been accepted into a college please notify the EIJGA via email or letter. Please send a copy of the acceptance letter as well as field of study. Once we receive this a check will be made payable to the student mailed to the address on file.
It will be the responsibility of the student to check with their financial aid office about outside scholarships as well as consult your tax professional on how to report your scholarship to the IRS.
